She looks inward
and searches
and hopes
She looks outward
and seeks and wonders
and solicits / elicits
and affirms
And sees.
Deeply.
She’s not sure she offers her best
(but she should be sure)
As she peers into the hearts of others
even so briefly
she touches their best self. . .
And /
Ignites their glow.

Telling it like it is,<br />
they take no trouble, baby,<br />
—and you better remember it.<br />

Staring off into <br />
tree tops,<br />
[They share a private laugh]<br />

lean in close,<br />
to feel the joke.<br />

Like Oil and Vinegar,<br />
though quite different in profile;<br />

as an Iris becomes the sky<br />

You are the Earth I walk upon,<br />
my sense of Self. <br />

What is a chin,<br />
