Like a well-worn sweater
adjusting to the physique,
muscles contract, and
morph
into expressions of pleasantry—
a much needed respite from
any habitual mouth posture.
We’ve another chance again,
to place a hand
on nostalgia’s familiar shoulder.
No-one promised us this,
and so,
there is no room
for any expression other.
