Phalanges
are kept warm
and in good company
with gold and silver friends.
Eyes,
alight,
and smile-lines
align
with today’s
Purpose,
Happy goal.

in awe of another day’s rise;<br />

Fall has made its case,<br />
staked its claim.<br />

A rusty-mustard cardigan soothes<br />
in this early chill/ <br />
