Count your blessings
—in rows—
I see
charcoal dust
fade
into ivory snow;
telling of your tale,
all you’ve seen.
A watchful eye, circumspect,
surveys ground for anything and
everything remotely suspect,
while juxtaposition begs
for
alternative perspective:
A soulful core sings along
to the percussion-beat
of a
humble heart,
in love with melody
in love with Love,
and
the frenzy of the many
street-life-sounds.
